One of the most engaging professors I've ever taken. Lectures were extremely interesting, and he was always entertaining. I looked forward to every class. The text was provided for free, and he wrote it himself. The tests were very fair in terms of time, and upon completion of the homework packets, there were no surprises on the tests. The homework packets, however, were quite daunting in length, and though they didn't require correctness for full credit, I found myself struggling to finish them on time. However, I would take another class with Professor Samani in a heartbeat.

Professor Samani is by far the best professor I've ever had. The content is quite difficult, but he makes it approachable and interesting. I look forward to this class every day. The homework is tailored well to the tests, and office hours are informative and fun. He has two regular office hours weekly that are always really interesting, and one open office hour per week, which is not strictly physics-focused, but always has very thought-provoking conversations.
Overall, you should absolutely take this class with Professor Samani if you can.
