Winter 2025 - I have taken a class with Professor Han before and would recommend her class. She is somewhat dry and hard to reach sometimes but is very knowledgeable and passionate. This class required attendance with a code given during lecture. We had 3 online quizzes throughout the quarter, 2 of which were all multiple-choice. You also needed to complete 3 discussions throughout the quarter which had to be 500-750 words. All in all, this class was stress free.

Spring 2025 - I took Power with Professor Han before and also left a review on that. I really enjoyed this class and Professor Han is so cool and funny. It’s less structured than Power, so you have more freedom. however I know some people struggle with this too because then it might be harder to feel motivated, but I personally liked the structure of the class. We watched a lot of documentaries in this class that made us really emotional and cry. Professor Han is a really understanding and kind professor. Sometimes she may change the syllabus up but it’s often for the better in my opinion. I really feel that she cares about our learning and she doesn’t want us to be too stressed. Overall it was really fun and meaningful. I wish I could take more classes with her but I’m graduating.

Fall 2025 - This class was technically Gender 185 but I had special permission to complete my capstone in it, so I'm putting the review here. Han definitely bit off more than they could chew with this class and had about 30 individual student projects going on. This meant that you had to be very motivated and reach out when you needed help. They were sometimes a bit hard to reach as they are very busy and we also sadly had a student pass away in our class which made things even harder. Through that experience though, we got to see just how much they care for their students, as they went out of their way to attend the funeral with other students and organize a memorial on campus. When I was able to meet with Han they were very helpful and often set me on the right track for the capstone. She is very open to unique capstones and allows for a lot of creativity and I would definitely recommend taking the capstone with her. This was the second class I've taken with her and if I had more time at UCLA I would definitely take her again.
