Worst professor I've had at UCLA. It's very ironic he's a communications teacher because he has absolutely no idea how to communicate. Albeit there is a language barrier, but there is a certain level of arrogance associated with Professor Joo. He seems much more interested in doing his own research than actually helping students. Does not respond to emails. Unhelpful during office hours. There is no TA. Save yourself the trouble: DO NOT TAKE.

If you want to gain practical knowledge in digital marketing or any related field, you HAVE TO take this class. You will learn about applications and basic mechanism of AI, and how to do sentiment analysis with Python (prior programming skill is neither recommended nor required).
His profile picture seems like saying "I'm gonna fail all of you", but he is actually very nice and reasonable. Highly recommended class.
