I took Professor Reinhard for both English 140A and 180 (a seminar on Wagner) and he is amazing. He truly cares about each student learning and more so about their improvement. He grades students somewhat individually. If you have improved in his class, he will notice. If you show effort, he will notice this as well. Professor Reinhard is one of the few teachers in the English department that seems to still care about the STUDENTS, and not about making a ridiculously hard class... although his classes are difficult. 140A covered Plato to Kant, which was all very dense material, however, Professor Reinhard made this tedious information available to all. If you still had trouble understanding concepts, he would welcome you to his office hours, or even a scheduled appointment. Like I said, he truly cares about student learning.
