Interesting but revolves heavily around P.C. rhetoric. Well what'd you expect?

Okay here's the truth...this was not an easy class considering the fact that it's supposed to be a psych elective. However, she is a wonderful lecturer, the information is pretty easy to grasp and the tests are doable. On the otherhand, there is alotttttt of info to to study, you have to read the entire book for the final and reading it once is probably not enough unless you took notes on every single page. However, in comparison to 100a it's really easy so yeah. I got an A in the class, I go a B plus on the paper and a low B on the final and an A plus on the midterm. Once the class is over, you'll be glad you took it cuz it truly opens your eyes and enlightens you :)

I LOVED professor Elsesser. She talked a lot about her own experiences in the business world and it was always really interesting. I loved the subject too, Psychology of gender is very, very interesting. I always looked forward going to class and I always learned new interesting things that I later shared with everybody who wanted to listen. Super interesting!!! And she is a really great person too!

The class was not easy. You had to study the entire book very carefully because she didn't cover all the material from the book but she still tested us on it. Also, she didn't post her powerpoints online so make sure to take good notes. There was one midterm, one final (cummulative) and one paper, but the paper was much easier than the tests. She curves the class which is good since the class is difficult. I ended up getting an A+ so it's not too difficult as long as you put in some effort and read the entire textbook, which was interesting but very dense.

Most of the class was pretty disappointed that Professor Peplau last minute did not teach this course. I think we all TRIED to give her the benefit of the doubt but her lack of knowledge compounded by it not being "an easy class", made it a frustrating experience. You have to read an entire dense text, write a paper and have an professor that is not current or engaging in her knowledge. Disappointing.
