Fall 2024 - I took the "Learning Through Play" Cantonese poetry/opera Fiat Lux Fall 2024. Might have been the first quarter it was offered, not sure. The class was definitely interesting but felt disorganized/unfocused. We maybe talked about Cantonese arts like 6/10 weeks. Sometimes the professor just went on a tangent about some related, albeit interesting, topic. We did get to read some operas and had a few guest performers. No workload, some people just did homework during the class.

Spring 2022 - This was a really eye opening class that taught me a lot about how we view race, and the racial history of LA. Lot of stuff I never knew about. Professor Cheung seems really academically distinguished and passionate about what she studies, but not super helpful or technologically adept. Def go to TA office hours if you want real help, but Professor Cheung was still a good lecturer.
