I failed the midterm completely but studied really hard for the final and the final ended up being much easier. For the final, I studied and made sure that I understood all of the homework problems & optional problems in the homework, plus I memorized all the algorithms and formulas she covered. Her exams usually have problems from the optional problems in the homework. The homework is difficult but I was lucky to have a goated TA who helped us so much even though the professor was against him helping us with optional problems (this was so crazy of her ???). She is helpful if you go to her office hours, but she only has so much time and there are other students she has to help too. I recommend keeping up with the class and not letting yourself get behind at all which is why I failed the midterm. I also studied by reading through the textbook chapters right after covering the topics in class to make sure I understood fully. Overall I don't recommend taking this class with Kassab.
