Fall 2025 - I enjoyed this class alot, even if it was a requirement for my major! Prof Small doesn't take attendance + all the slides are posted on bruinlearn at the start of the lecture, so you lowkey don't ever need to show up BUT you need to show up to at least 80% of discussions to get credit for participation. Prof Small is SUPER funny and engaging in lecture, and the content of the lecture slides are pretty interesting too. There are only 3 one page reflections you have to do throughout the quarter, but they can be done REALLY fast imo. Both the midterm and final were take home essays that were 5 pages max and super easy, since it's not really a traditional essay format its more like an frq with multiple questions. i would recommend this class it's super easy! i loved my TA juan too--he was really understanding and a really good grader, and brought snacks during section.
