Laurence is a great teacher!!! I came into French 4 dreading the class because my French 3 experience wasn't so great. After the first couple of classes, I knew that I would like this class. She makes class interesting and fun and explains everything really clearly. She's incredibly understanding when it comes to turning in assignments late; she understands that you have a life outside of her class. I highly recommend her :o)

Laurence is an awesome prof, she has a sense of humor that makes her so fun to interact with in class. Although the French lecturers and TAs seem to have a pretty structured format for teaching the classes, she really teaches the same old material incredibly effectively. I especially like the way she handles compositions, her corrections are really helpful and I felt I was actually learning something from writing them. She's not afraid to make fun of herself in class, and she's sooo understanding about late work/scheduling conflicts, etc. She's a fair grader, lively lecturer, adorable in general. I'm so stoked to be taking French 5 with her next quarter, and I know a few others in my class hope to do the same.
