Winter 2022 - I really love this class! :) I thought that the material was super interesting, and I enjoyed learning about immunology! But this is class was, by far, the hardest class I've taken at UCLA. The lecture material is dense, I had to continually pause the recordings and rewind, which made the 1hr recordings take 3hrs to watch and take notes on. Professor Yang's lectures were especially difficult to watch- I had to watch them on max volume at 1x speed because I couldn't understand what she was saying with her accent. The recorded lectures had VERY POOR video quality ( the images and texts on slides were blurry) and VERY POOR audio quality and there were also no closed captions! My ears hurt after trying to watch every lecture and I would get so mad because I couldn't understand 75% of what Professor Yang was saying. Perhaps it will be better in person, but I found myself getting so frustrated because I could not understand her in the recordings at all. The exams are very fair though, just like the homework problems!

Winter 2026 - Great professor who brings so much passion to the class! She is clearly knowledgeable about immunology and also funny some times. She cares about students' success and tries hard to really make us fall in love with immunology. Fred Ramsdell also visited our class one day. I would not take immunology with anyone else! Most importantly, Go to her office hours! The tests are 60% and discussion attendance and homework are 40% of your grade. The homework can be a bit disorganized sometimes but overall I loved this professor. 10/10!
