Professor Davis teaches the class with movies, lectures, and slides. The good part is that she covers interesting topics. The bad part is, her delivery is mostly ineffective due to her style. She could improve a lot by mentioning topics rather than giving a timeline of events. That being said, the course work and lectures show korea in a different light than todays Kpop.

Prof. Davis is a lenient, insightful, and very generous when it comes to assignments. She places emphasis on grammar and spelling more so than analysis when it comes to her papers. Her class is very easy and she provides more incentive to show up by showing delightful Korean cinema (the best was Peppermint Candy and Blue Swallow) and discussing various race and urban-related topics. I learned a substantial amount of information regarding Korean culture and its development but also about Los Angeles. I loved her class and enjoyed having her as a professor. She is also hot which was the cherry on top of the sundae. I strongly recommend her and this class if you want to learn especially if you need an easy class.
