It sucks because the content in this class is arguably the most important for Software Engineers. Still, Maged is just not a good professor. He would teach like this was the first time he'd seen the slides. Much of the learning in this class you will have to do on your own and through discussions and other websites. Attendance is tested through quizzes in class, but they are graded on completion and only count if they're done during class time.

Overall - some parts of the class is useful for industry as you learn how to use diagrams and find code smells in code. However, the lectures were not recorded which made the pacing of the lecture hard (sometimes too fast and sometimes way too slow, with not enough explanation for some areas). The group project was fun, and homeworks were useful for exams. Overall, exams were pretty difficult with a super low class average.
