Quarter: Winter 2021
Grade: A

The lectures were irrelevant to any of the grading, do not need to attend to complete the final paper that contributes to most of the grade. So pretty easy to get through, not sure how he is as a professor. Readings are only relevant to the discussion posts, not even the paper, but can just be skimmed, and discussion section is very laid back.
Definitely an easy A if you just do the work on time with the syllabus.

Grade: A+

I did get an A+ in the class, but nothing about it was clear. I was confused a lot but my TA was great and it worked out. So if you have a good TA you'll be okay? I think?

Professor Icev is really nice and the content is interesting! I was just confused by the overall design of the class (which I think he'll change in the upcoming quarters). Your grade consisted mostly of an 8-10 page essay on architecture of your choice. He also grades you on participation in discussion, but those points are easy to get as long as you watch the lectures, go to class, and answer questions in the discussion forums. The class was pretty disjointed in that the weekly readings didn't relate to the weekly lectures, and neither of those related to the big essay.
