Just had to weigh in... I took Prof. Lieberman's class during winter of my senior year, and I can safely say he was one of the two best professors I've ever had in my life. Class was fun, not too hard, but most of all, I really LEARNED, and that is a rarity. Now, two years later, I'm still referring to studies we talked about in class. Take it, treasure it, because there's not much out there to rival this.
this was the easiest A of my life. no joke. i went to 3 lectures ALL quarter, studied his lecture notes which he posts online and got an A in the class. that sucks that im saying this cause if he reads it he'll probably change around his system haha. whoops. anyway u do learn a lot, even if it's last minute. Maybe if it wasnt at 4pm id have the desire/engery to walk back to campus... He has an insane curve though but he changed it around cause he's a really nice guy and compromises when he feels he's wrong... the stuff you learn though, is seriously very interesting and useful.
Definitely one of the BEST professors and classes at UCLA. The class is insightful and relevant. Lectures are interesting and enjoyable. Lieberman will keep you entertained. Tests are not difficult. I highly recommend the class.
Prof. Lieberman is one of the best proffesors on campus. He is really interested in the success of his students and is very available outside of class. He has a great personality and his overall class lectures were outstanding. He knows his material very well and is very clear about what is going to be on the test. You have to read a total of 5 books (very easy and intertaining) since he has no textbook, and a small paper about one of the readings. His midterm and final are both 50 questions long and everything that's on the lecture notes are on the test. I highly encouage you to take this class and pass with an A.
Prof. Lieberman is a great lecturer. He kept lectures fun and interesting. There are two midterms and a paper for this class, as well as participation points in discussion. I found it really helpful to purchase the lecture notes for this class. You'll find all the answers to the midterms in here. I highly recommend Prof. Lieberman!
He is one of the best professors i have ever had. The material itself is interesting, but he made it modern and applicable to daily life in every way. He has several interesting, helpful and constructive demonstrations. I would even suggest this class for people to take just fun. And even though we had to read five books, the books were easy to read, and they did not count for much of the class. Take this class with Lieberman!
Lieberman is quite young and quite a good lecturer. He tried very hard to make Psych 135 both interesting and useful, and I have to say (as a psychology major) it's the most useful and interesting class I've taken at UCLA if you want to learn about human behavior. There was no textbook, tests were tricky but not impossible. I got a B but learned a great deal and would highly recommend.
I love Professor Lieberman!!! He's so cute (he looked like a panda bear until he shaved his goatee off) and is a really dynamic lecturer. He was so entertaining to listen to and very organized and thorough. His powerpoints were easy to follow and he added lots of personal stories that kept things moving. Super easy paper and tests. I barely studied and got an A+!!! Section is really easy and interesting, not hard to stay awake at all (go David Creswell!) Overall, awesome class. Also, he has his personal webpage linked to the class site and it's so funny, there's pictures of him in a band with a jerry curl, PRICELESS!!!
As a new transfer student I was unsure of what to expect at UCLA. However, Prof. Lieberman's class was a great way to start here. He doesn't just read his notes or crank through his power point presentation absentmindedly. Also, the readings were very interesting. No text was used however 5 books were assigned to read. He was genuine in his concern towards his students. Also, his TAs were of great help as well. I hope I have more classes like this in the future.
