He is really a very good teacher. He's interesting and funny and I would definetly recommend this class to my friends. In fact I already have convinced one of my friends to take this class. It's also pretty easy. I think 250 out of 300 of us got a B or higher.
He is very concerned about his students learning and he was nice enough - but to tell you the truth, his lecture included too many studies (which may be necessary) but it made it to be a rather boring lecture and I fell asleep more times than I should have. That is my only complaint.
Matt is the best professor I've had here at UCLA so far. He is very funny, friendly and open to discussion. His class is not difficult if you study the slides that are on the web and I would recommend buying the lecture notes as well. Some people thought his tests were hard but if you studied there's no way that you'll do bad. Psych 135 is a very interesting class with Matt. So if you can take it with him, I definitly recommend you do. He only teaches this class once a year during Fall quarter so if you get in his class you're lucky! He rocks!
