Professor North is a witty, organized, brilliant professor. He is an excellent lecturer, and every word he has to say is gold. Unfortunately, he has a monotone voice which makes listening to his every word a little difficult sometimes. The only negative thing I have to say about him is that he assigns paper prompts that could easily be answered in a paragraph or two. I would literally sit in front of my computer screen for hours trying to expand without sounding repetitive or like I was trying to change the prompt.

Winter 2018 - Overall I think this was the easiest class of the 10 series. We didn't have to purchase a North Anthology for the class, Professor North made sure to put the cheapest books for us to buy at the textbook store. His classes were lectured-based and as long as you paid attention in class, I think you would do well in this class.

Actual Class: English 91c He isn't amazing, but he isn't terrible. This class wasn't that great to me, and in my opinion, a lot of the work fell on the shoulders of the TA's as the professor didn't do much other than give us a brief biography of each of the authors and point out a few passages he thought were interesting.

Winter 2019 - Professor North is the kind of lecturer you hear about before actually attending college. He just stands there with no slides, and just talks on about books. Everything he analyzes is incredibly insightful, and honestly he just seems really cool and no-nonsense. I'm the kind of person who takes notes on everything a professor says, which really helped with the final and the two papers (both of which you can choose the topic for from a list). It seems like a lot of pressure, but all you need to do is stay attentive in class and take notes, and you'll be fine. Honestly, I only read one of the assigned books, and two others I'd already read a long time ago, which was enough.
