Professor Rubens is the best econ prof I have had. Engaging lectures, knows students by their own names, what more can you ask for. Course grading: 50% data challenges (there is 3 of them and you work in pairs of 2. Lot of coding in R and analyzing but nothing too complex.) 25% final project report and 25% final project presentation (groups of 6, combining 3 of the Data Challenge groups). for the project, you cant choose your group mates so as long as you have a good partner for the DCs (you can choose), then at least u have 2/6. Cannot miss many points for an A, but grading is done well if u know ur stuff. Assignments are spaced out so no big workload. Attendance MANDATORY.
