Don't take him if you can help it. He doesn't care at all. He likes to derive these massive equations on the board and act like they are basic. If you ask a question he is incredibly condescending towards you and regularly got frustrated at students' questions.
His tests were identical to his homework and lectures. If you couldn't do the exact proof from his lectures then you would fail but they are online so that was nice. He didn't follow the book at all and I couldn't solve any of the "basic" homework problems from the book.
The entire class of 1C is purely differential equations. If you have not taken DiffEQ you will struggle heavily. Most of your peers will have taken it and he expects you to know them.
Very hard and not concerned at all.
not helpful at office hours,he trys to keep your stay at his office hour as short as possible. his way of grading is not fair as he penalize you for the same mistake as many times as possible on the same test. He expect you to memorize all the formulas and all the units.
But,he is very quik at grading and submitting the grades. WHICH HE DOES ALL BY HIMSELF, and
His office is the most organized Than any office I've seen at UCLA.
