Took him for Psych 10. The class was divided into 3 different modules, with Fanselow as the teacher for my first module (approx. 3 weeks). He's an average lecturer/teacher. I don't think he's the best but definitely not the worst. I gave him a 10 for availability cause he podcasts his class (hell yeah!). Watched the podcasts ALOT. Ended up with a B+ cause I didn't take the class as seriously as I should've. The grade was entirely based on 3, 30 question multiple choice tests which weren't super hard but it had it's tricky, strangely-worded questions. The cool thing was even the discussion section was lecture style and podcasted. Soooo convenient. Especially for people who like to sleep in like me.

If you don't need to take this class, don't take it. The tests are really tricky and written in ways other professors do not write.

Great lectures, super knowledgeable.
Lecture is heavily based on experiments and their findings. No textbook is needed, since all class materials are the lecture powerpoint slides and a few readings (optional). Lecture is not podcasted, so definitely would recommend to audio record and create detailed notes after each lecture (either by yourself or collaborate with others) to understand the concepts covered in class and to prepare for the quizzes.
Since there is no midterm/final, the grade is based on 4 quizzes (approximately 3-4 lectures per quiz). Each quiz is 6 short answers (free response that can be answered in ~4 sentences) about overall concepts and experiments. The score is curved (average for 1st quiz is ~6/12, which is ~C+/B- after converting it into a 4.0 scale). The best score counts 37.5% of your grade, and the worst score counts 12.5% of your grade. The middle 2 each count 25%. The quizzes are not cumulative, but they require knowledge of prior material.
Overall, a great class for psychobiology.
