Fall 2022 - Legitimately one of the most interesting classes I've taken. The lectures were engaging and I was able to get into some great conversations with other students. The workload was also really reasonable and grading was not harsh at all. Would definitely take another class with Professor Scroggins.

Fall 2023 - Overall a nice, chill class that is niche but interesting. Professor Scroggins is based and a total gem, has a PhD from Columbia but doesn't even put Dr. or PhD next to his name in the syllabus. Assignments are a discussion post per week, a 2 page participation paper, completion 2 page explanation of your quarter long project (which can be anything, be fun and creative with it) 7+ page draft of your project, then the 12+ final project essay/podcast. Generous with extra credit and very approachable. cool guy.
