The professor was pretty nice. There are 3 essays which I felt were graded quite harshly. I put the most effort into my final essay and I ended up getting a B+ on it. I was expecting to hopefully get an A in the class but I did not. There were weekly readings that we had to do and then post a short response online on what we read. These were easy because I stopped doing all the readings and I usually did the shortest one for the week and then wrote the response in less than an hour. Overall, she actually helped me improve on my writing and her class focused on contemporary media. I would recommend her but don’t expect to turn in half-assed essays and get an a in the class. A “B+” is doable but you have to be a good writer to get an A. I’d also recommend going to her office hours because she gives good feedback on essays which can help you see what she wants in the paper.

Michelle Radnia, as person, is that she is good. But as a professor, she might come off as being extremely awkward. She keeps to herself and only talks when its needed. So don't expect jokes. Her quietness isn't meant to be rude, that's just how her personality is. The classwork consisted of 3 essays (draft and final draft), light weekly readings, and discussion post. She will not give feedback to your essays unless you go to her office hours. Overall, pretty chill class. Show up, review readings as small groups and class, and end with grammar exercises. Definitely recommend taking her (:

Participation really matters in this class. Every week she'll put you into random groups and have you discuss the readings from that week or a grammar lesson. Honestly isn't too bad just participate at least once a week. You can get away with not reading some of the required readings. A weekly discussion post was due every sunday by 9pm and there were 3 essays. The focus of our class was the environment. I didn't find her to be a very tough grader, but the first drafts aren't graded so make sure you go to office hours to get feedback from her. Implement the advice and suggestions she gives you and you should be fine.
