CEE 298 Seminar: Intro to GIS

This class was pretty chill. It's a good introductory to GIS, though not map making. It's structured that the first half of the quarter is teaching/learning and then the second half is dedicated to a group project, of which you can decide (groups were divided based on concentrations in Civil, i.e. environmental group, geotech group etc.). The beginning labs were not difficult, although Park is a pretty nit picky grader. The midterm was also straight forward and similar to the one she posts. The difficulty of your project depends on your topic, but it probably won't be too bad (the hardest might be data collection). Park is also very helpful, although her personality is a little abrasive. But she was always straightforward and gave good advice. I would take it again; it was a chill class as an undergraduate student.
