Quarter: Winter 2016
Grade: A
March 29, 2016

I hesitate to write as scathing a review about Prof. Yrjonsuuri as the other one that was recently written, since he tried his best to help students when they needed it and asked questions. He gave us paper prompts further in advance than I've ever received, and we got a clear study guide for the final. However, his accent was thick, slides were generally uninformative, and lectures were unclear as a result. The workload was very light most of the time, but when paper-writing time came along, it took so long to make sense of the material because of my confusing notes and the slides. I think my TA saw that, so it wasn't too difficult to get an A in the class. But without my TA, I would not have understood the material.

We had 2 papers (30% each), a section/participation grade (15%), and an easy multiple choice final (25%).
