Spring 2020 - Professor Lu was one of my favorite professors at UCLA. A lot of accounting professors switched to an asynchronous class delivery, but Professor Lu used a synchronous class delivery. His lectures were incredibly helpful, and he provided many practice problems in his lecture notes to help reinforce the material. He also hand types his notes, which shows the amount of care he puts into his classes. Professor Lu genuinely cares about his students and wants them to succeed.

Fall 2020 - Professor Lu is an amazing and engaging lecturer. He provides extremely detailed notes and you do not need the textbook at all. He gives very useful advice about recruiting/CPA exams as well, very helpful and organized professor. This is a hard, but doable class. You just need to study and put in the work. Because of COVID, the exams were online and through Connect, so you have to buy it to take the exam. Exam are open book because they couldn't get funding for examity, but both the midterm and the final were only an hour long so you won't have much time. Grading Breakdown: 4% Accounting fundamentals quiz (super easy) 40% Midterm 56% Final
