This class was absolutely amazing. Professor Tingley actually cares about his students which is so rare in an online environment. He makes his material accessible and his examples really help clarify things. Ask a ton of questions because he's really good about making sure students understand everything.

Such a great professor! Homework can be tough, but it really gives you a deeper understanding of the concepts and allows you to apply your knowledge from class and lab. Highly recommend this class if you just finished the LS30 series.

Dr. Tingley is an incredible professor. I can not say enough good things about him. He is kind, engaging, and so intelligent. He truly cares about his students and deeply wants everyone to learn and be more informed in our future endeavors. I am so grateful that I took this course with him, he made the transition to online learning so much easier and truly respected the difficulties of this time. Tingley was seriously awesome. I don't really leave reviews but since he is new to UCLA i just wanted other students to know they have nothing to worry about. Tingley is super kind, funny, and helpful. He is always open to criticism ad genuinely cares about student learning and comprehension. And to make things even better, the coding in lab is far easier than any coding in LS30A or B! If you want to get your statistics requirement out of the way and do not want to memorize formulas or proofs then this is the class for you!
