Do not take this class if you really care about GPA. I am pre-med and have gotten As my whole life but had to change this class to pass/no pass to not effect my GPA because the grading was so weird. However I actually loved the prof and her personality and enjoyed attending class even tho attendance wasn't graded (but she doesn't really post slides/notes so you kind of need to go anyway). But the midterm and final and one paper are your whole grade, and that would usually be fine but she doesn't help you at all with knowing the important things to know and how to study, or even how to write the essays/papers. Also my TA was bad which is why I think I didn't like this class, he even graded my paper contradictory to what the prof said. I would say this class is fine if you need to take it but you will just have to study alot for tests, so if you are just taking it as GE and want easy A maybe find different class.
