Quarter: Fall 2020
Grade: A+

Dec. 30, 2020

The class was conducted through Zoom this quarter, so there were some difficulties, as with almost every virtual class. However, Professor Ezer really tried to keep students engaged with the material, and was always willing to help anyone who was struggling. As long as you kept on top of the vocabulary for the week and studied for the tests, the class was really easy. Professor Ezer will also always list out what’s going to be on a test. But as a side note: make sure you write down any extra vocabulary she gives the class, because it will resurface in a test at some point.

The first few weeks of Hebrew 1A were rough. I thought I would never make it through three quarters of her she seemed so tough.

I quickly got over that. Prof Ezer is such a caring person. Her number one goal is to make sure you learn hebrew, she really cares about her students and goes above and beyond to help them learn. She has a lot of office hours, and will make individual appointment times whenever you need. She also gives you the option of attending any of her sections and going to any of the sections finals, which is really nice. She is extremely flexibla and really cares about her students well-being. She is by far the most genuine and loving teacher I have ever had.

With all that said, this class is not something you can slack in. She expects you to know the vocab and grammar she's tought you by the next day. She verbally quizzes you daily, so she knows if you aren't on top of your stuff. There is also a lot of homework, and she is very aware of whether or not you are putting in adequate effort.

Try not to let the work load scare you away, I truly had a great time in her class and plan to take more classes with her in the future.

If you have any interest in hebrew at all, then definitely take this class with this professor.

Ezer is everything you look for in a professor:
She truly wants everyone to get an A and will make sure that everyone is on the right track to do so, she's funny, she knows the material incredibly well, and she really drills the language into your head.

She calls on people who look like they aren't paying attention and will try to call on each person in the class at least once or twice a day so its best to be prepared for that day's lesson.

Her tests are all fair and basically if you put in about 10 minutes a night for homework (definitely do all the homework) and learning the day's vocabulary, you will succeed.

Don't miss her class! She notices! She'll confront you about it! She's a machine! She's great though and you should take her, especially if you need to get the language requirement out of the way.

Very straightforward and kind teacher. The class is fast-paced, but if you're willing to put in 15-25 minutes a night to prepare for the next day, this is an easy A.
