Very easy class and the topic was pretty interesting. There were 2 midterms which were not that bad and based on lecture. The assignments were very simple and mostly based off completion since the content is pretty subjective. There were three writing assignments where you had to write some journal entries to track your emotions, one to share your experience/thoughts on tracking your emotions, and one paper on your thoughts/review of a book you have to read. Both of the longer writing assignments (not the emotion journal) were one page each, but they with single line spacing. If you're taking some hard psych classes, I think this class can be a chill class to take with the hard classes.

Overall, I would say that the course material is fascinating. However, it can sometimes be frustrating because the content is too abstract. In other words, it isn't easy to learn about the phenomenon of emotion when we never really end each term with concrete facts about it. The first midterm is a slap in the face because the questions are super tricky, even though the course content is relatively simple. The workload is very doable and easy; fortunately, the final midterm is easier. Professor Eisenberger is a very kind teacher and is always there to help. She is relatable in many ways, and I believe disliking her as a professor is impossible.

Professor Eisenberger is a really good lecturer and great person. I genuinely enjoyed all of her lectures. They were interesting material. However, her tests are really tricky, especially the first midterm. I got a C on that, and a lot of people I knew also scored around the same. However, I was able to redeem myself for the second midterm and ended this class with an A-. I really loved the material from this class though. There are also 2 papers and an Emotion journal for the class. They aren’t harshly graded, but try your best on them. We had to read a pocket book for this class, America the Anxious, and it wasn’t bad. The second paper was about that and the second midterm had a few questions about it. I enjoyed my time in this class, but I wish there were more assignments to boost my grade.

The best class I have taken! she was always dressed up with perfect hair and came prepared to engage us in a thorough lecture with slides and some videos. two one page single spaced papers that were just our opinions, no citing, super chill. 2 tests, midterm and final and not cumulative!! All very straightforward and straight from her lectures. awesome review sessions and wants you all to understand. her own studies are included. make sure you go to every class, they are super cool and fun and she takes attendance sometimes! super great and smart professor.

Dr. Eisenberger is a great professor and her lectures are very engaging. I enjoyed attending her class (it was online during Fall 2021) and would recommend attending them live. The material was interesting but also kind of heavy at the same time. Therefore, I would recommend paying close attending to the different theories, studies, etc that are gone over during lecture. I found the first midterm to be far more difficult compared to the second midterm since it was more application based. You definitely need to study for these exams since they are not "easy".
The SONA studies are a great bonus since extra credit is provided. Overall, it was an interesting class and I would recommend it.

The class was pretty easy, the first half is mostly theories and models based and the second half is research studies. There are a lot of studies to remember however the class is interesting and Professor Eisenberger is engaging. There is one required book that I got online for free at libgen and it is an easy read. The workload is relatively easy as long as you know the takeaways from each study, the theorists, and their models, then you should do well on the exams. All tests are multiple-choice and there are lots of extra credit opportunities available. It is easy to get an A for the class. I also took it online so being able to rewatch the lectures is essential because the exams are based on the lecture. You should take this class but be ready to remember a lot of research studies.

A great Professor and a great person! You can tell she loves teaching. There is quite a bit of information to remember for exams though which are worth 70% of your grade. Overall, it was a great class.

There are 2 midterms, a 6 week emotion journal, a thought paper about the emotional journal and a thought paper about the book America the Anxious. The first half of the class is honestly the most confusing part because there are so many different models of emotions that you really have to understand to do well in the tests but the second half of the class is significantly more straight forward thus midterm 2 was way easier. Tests are closed book close notes. I loved learning about emotion in depth and Professor Eisenberger is a sweetheart that explains everything to the best of her ability if you don't understand!
