My experience with this class was a purely positive experience. Dr. Tillakaratne is one of the best professors I have worked with during my academic years. Her passion for teaching and dedication to mentoring her students made this a meaningful learning experience. I would highly recommend this course to anyone interested in furthering their undergraduate education and gaining experience in physiological science research.

Dr. Niranjala Tillakaratne is a blessing in disguise. She is easily one of my favorite professor's at ucla. She is very helpful and willing to take time out of her busy schedule to meet up with you and make sure all your questions about the material are answered. She also takes the time to teach students how to correctly use the devices in her lab. She also pushes the students to thrive on their own research while being available for any questions that the students might have. She is usually available during the day and will make arrangements to her schedule if you can not meet up with her during that time. She also would bring food for all of her students in this class sometimes for lunch, which yet again proves how amazing she is. She cares a lot about her work and makes sure the students in her lab also realize the importance of that work. I believe that she is truly one of the best professors at UCLA. If you are lucky enough to take this course with her, take advantage of it! Also, she is really funny and down to earth!

Dr. Tillakaratne is hands down the best professor at UCLA. I had the privilege of working with her at the lab. She is an intelligent and extraordinary human being both in and out of the classroom setting. I am grateful to call her my mentor and it is because of her that I pursued my dream of becoming a doctor. My time at UCLA would have not been the same without her guidance and motivation. Dr. Tillakaratne has been doing research for many years and her expertise and dedication to her projects as well as her students is commendable. Dr. Tillakaratne makes everyone around her feel at home and she is extremely patient when teaching. Dr. Tillakaratne shows concern for others and makes an effort to know each student as an individual. I have not found another professor at UCLA who is as caring of her students, often replying to emails within minutes of being sent, providing appointments outside office hours and focusing on students' academic growth. Her knowledge and passion for her work make her explanations about a difficult topic seem more manageable. I highly recommend taking a class with Dr. Tillakaratne; she wants you to do well and gives you every opportunity to succeed.
