This professor expects much from her students. You must be prepared to preview and review the material as she suggests, as her lectures are rather fast paced. Falling behind in the reading is not a good idea. Care must be taken not to miss the lecture since some exam question are taken strictly out of the lecture. However, if you are short on time, just do as many book problems as possible, as exams, like she said, is quite reflective, sometimes identical to homework problems.

Prepare to work for 30C if you take her. Note that although the professor is difficult, she takes all effort to ensure that the students learn their material and guarantees the fairness of the tests. OH is not required to do well, but if you wish to recongnize someone with great intellectual power, do so.

Professor Kwon is one of the best professors at UCLA. She presents the materials in an organized manner and she speaks very clearly. Here exams are not tricky; if you do all the homework problems and review all the notes, you will do very well in her class. Also, make sure to go to her office hour, she is willing to go through the concepts several times to make sure that you understand all concepts. Don\355t miss any of her lectures; many exam questions come directly from the lecture notes. I definitely recommend taking chem. 30C with professor Kwon . She is the best.

You've got to be kidding peoples. First of all you should all know that organic chemistry is almost entirely based upon practice upon practice with problems from the book. You whine that she doesn't teach well, has an accent, etc. but if you kept up the reading, you would find her topics VERY relevent.

Her going over the 50 minute time limit? CMMON grow up!!! This is not high school where we **tch about not having our breaks.... So you're late for your next class, get over it.

Overall, she does a fairly decent job teaching organic chemistry. Her tests were pretty difficult, but hey, it's all on a curve. Just study more than the majority and you're good-to-go. The pace also wasnt too fast.

Should you take her? Doesn't really matter. If you put your time into the class, you'll do fine no matter the professor.
