Sitting through one of his lectures is a frustrating and confounding experience. Although he's foreign, his English is fine, but his class consists pretty much entirely of him mumbling through examples with occasional tepid and unsuccessful attempts at clarification. He rarely even faces away from the board; it almost seems as though he intermittently forgets that the class is even there. I bombed the first midterm, but was able to salvage the second one by watching MIT Opencourseware in lieu of attending class. If you get stuck with this professor, I'd recommend that you do the same from the start, as his lectures are completely useless.
Broooooo
You dont even wanna get me started like wtH. I actually hate myself now for taking this class. I used to think I was smart at math, now I dont even know how to think. Like how can one be so incoherent and unclear in such a way that students don't even bother picking up their pencil after 10 minutes into lecture. No humor, no fun, no engagement, no help. If you have to take linear algebra for the quarter he's teaching in, it'd be better to take it your 5th when he's not teaching cuz it is not worth the pain. 0/10 would not recommend.
I love this professor!
Though his lectures are intense because there is always new stuff every lecture, he presents his lecture in a coherent and clear way. He assigns homework with different difficulty level. Though some problems are quite challenging, they are fun and he won't collect the homework. The every week quiz is based on the homework but the quizzes are easy to deal with.
The exam is not that difficult but requires you to compute carefully and check your answer.
Linear algebra is really beautiful and just take this class.
