Dr. Halpin is very good at explaining things in an interesting manner that kept me interested in the course. The videos she showed during class and other learning activities made the material of the class much more interesting and easier to learn.

Professor halpin is very knowledgable about the subject and pretty entertaining. She does her best to make the course interesting - which can be hard with such a dry subject. Great class!

Halpin has great communication skills; she managed to go into course material in great depth without making it boring. This class is so interesting and well taught that it made me decide to change my major to something in a biology related field, and a great deal of that interest was sparked thanks to Professor Halpin.

Lectures were nicely organized and had great clarity. Videos and lecture demos (like the bird wing) helped a lot.

I absolutely loved this course. It made me love my major- biology- so much more. Professor Halpin did a great job keeping lectures interesting by showing videos that exemplified the concepts we were learning. She kept the class engaged and focused by having survey questions that served as good checkmarks to make sure that we were understanding the concepts. I really liked how she presented the material and did her best to simplify the more complicated material. Though at times there were some technological difficulties, Professor Halpin worked around them well. I would highly recommend this course to my peers. I am sad that this quarter is ending because I honestly looked forward to every lecture. Thanks for reminding me why I chose to be a biology major and for making this class so
interesting!

I took LS1 with Halpin and though she was great. She made the material very interesting, I looked forward to lectures rather than dreading them like with some other profs. She really cares a lot about what she teaches.
