This class is wild. One of the most unique courses I ever took at UCLA and I loved it. Now, if you are taking this class, be prepared for some crazy tests. They do not require a ton of studying, and the class itself is a small work load, but it really requires you to think critically. For example, on one test, he allowed the entire class to work together to submit one test. Others times, he will have you group up into small groups for the test. He really emphasizes these types of atypical tests. The tests test not for memorization, but for the deeper understanding. This course is great for an ecology or evolutionary biology oriented student who is passionate about animal behavior and how it can connect to a variety of more worldly concepts. If you are a pre-med looking for an easy A, do not take this. But, if you are passionate, this class will change your life.
