Analysis is hard, especially when you're just introduced to it. This class wasn't a breeze, and I did put in effort to fully understand what's going on. But I did do well, so that means you can too.

Prof Badreddine is an okay prof; she isn't super engaging and only goes over things she has on her notes. She does take a pause and asks us if we're confused and have questions, but sometimes she's speeding through too quickly, and we're so lost that we don't have any questions. She's not helpful for homework during office hours, and shoos us to the TA (great person Ariana Chin). I can't say she cares too much about our learning, but she does teach what's needed.

Homework was a little difficult, but nothing mind-blowingly hard. You'll need to pray for a good TA to help you if you have any questions. Prof Badreddine posted some "worksheets" (that were taken from previous discussion sections) and she reused some of those questions on the midterms (not the final tho). Whatever she says to practice with, do those practice problems. As a result, the midterms and final weren't that bad.

131A is far from my favorite math class at UCLA, but it's doable especially if you have a good TA. Just try your best, make sure you understand as much as you can from class and the homework, do all the practice Badreddine gives you, and pray to the math gods that your brain doesn't blank out during the test. Good luck!

I really liked how she lectured, she was really clear with every step of proofs that she went over and it was really easy to follow along with her lectures and understand what was important. Her midterms were on the easier side imo and reflective of the material covered in class. (Our class did kinda trauma bond over the final though since she said it would "be a lot harder" and there ended up being a mistake in it and the TA did NOT handle it well)
I do feel like she didn't care too much about student success though. It oftentimes kinda felt like she didn't want to be there when I was there for office hours, and some of my friends have had similar sentiments.
