I took Econ 2 with Professor Rojas Fall 2020, it was a very well organized and well taught course. The material itself is straightforward, and Professor Rojas was always very clear and informative in lecture, providing a solid understanding of the material as pertaining to the problems and tests, while also tying in its relation to macroeconomic issues in the world today. He was always prompt and helpful with emails, the grades were easy to understand and fair, definitely recommend!

This class was a bit more challenging than Econ 1, but still manageable. There is weekly homework assignments and the midterm and final were timed, 2 hours online. I encourage you to work with other people in the class and study with other people because talking through the problems helps a lot. You need to use a lot of rational thinking, but the slides in lectures are extremely helpful.

I took this during Covid Times. Although I didn't learn a whole ton, I thought this class was extremely easy to do well in. Lectures are pointless by the way.

You are going to have to take this class no matter what, but for your own sake try another professor. He's not a bad guy or anything, he seemed nice, but his lectures take place in a mysterious land unbound by normal laws of time and space. He reads off of the slides, which are in turn taken from the textbook. It is painfully hard to focus, and I've never felt stupider doing his exams. Grades are determined by two short midterms and a longer final, all of them multiple choice. The two midterms were easy my year, so they made the final much harder. They told us that very plainly in discussion. They were right. It sucked.

I came out of the class with no self esteem and no zest for life. Not the Professor's fault, again, as he didn't really make any impact on the class, but because I wasn't as smart as I thought I was. Be careful and take care of yourself in this class.

TO SAVE MONEY there is an online program called mindtap that Rojas recommends but does not require. It is usually $120 but share 1 account with 3+ friends and split the cost. It saves a ton of money. I did this with Econ 1 and 2.

This class is moderate. The concepts are slightly intuitive, slightly need memorization. With Rojas, you don't really need to go to lecture because he reads off the slides but I kinda recommend it because it's easy to fall behind i the class. He does like a chapter and half per week and it's easy to forget about the class. I mostly read the book and that was easier to comprehend. Just skim the slides to make sure to didn't miss any specific info bc his tests are kinda nit picky. The midterms are only 25 questions so if you miss a few, it's already in the B range. The mindtap program is really useful and important. I shared mine with 2 other people which made it go from like $120 to $40 each and we didn't come across any problems with multiple people on at a time. The final is 75 questions so is worth a lot more than the 2 midterms and my TA said doing good on the final is more important.

I had Prof. Rojas for Econ 2 last quarter. I think he's a fair and decent professor. The book for the class is required (around $120) since it has an online code (Mindtap) where you do the hw. I found the homework really easy, as some questions are word-for-word from the book. I think Mindtap is not worth it overall; it is not that great to study for. Class consists mostly of slides, and he'll explain the concepts pretty well. He also follows the format of the book. It can be boring in class sometimes, but Econ2 overall is not the most fun thing to learn. Due to the nature of the subject, a lot of people decide not to go to the class, since the subject is relatively easy. Midterm 1 is really easy, Midterm 2 is a bit difficult, and Final is much harder than expected. But he grades fairly, and curves the class only if it helps (it did help). It's an okay class overall; if you want to get a good grade, you don't have to study too hard.
