Professor Levine is an extremely cute and nice guy, but he can't teach very well. I'm always confused in his lectures, and have to depend on the TA for explaining the concepts. Unfortunately, no matter how well I understood the concepts that the TA taught me, the exams were ultimately written by Levine, and so it wasn't super helpful.
This professor may be the easiest professor for 113A, but honestly I don't think it's worth it. I didn't really have to study a lot and managed to get a B+ out of it, which is probably abnormal for a quantum class, but I'm taking other classes that have 113A as a pre-req, and I really think that I was not prepared well enough. Levine honestly doesn't end up teaching you much about quantum chemistry.
I highly suggest this class if you hate quantum and never want to touch it again and just want the easiest way out, but I highly recommend trying a harder professor if you actually want to learn something useful from this class, or if you are continuing into other classes that require knowledge of quantum chemistry.
