I think this class is a good opportunity to learn something about rap history. But sometimes the discussions just went too far into the "cultural" part rather than the history. Though this is also a great topic, I would've expected more information about hip-pop than a discrimination debate. The professor is a jazz pro, so I hope he would focus more on the music and manage the flow of the class better in the future.
