Professor Andalon is one of the best professors I have ever had. He is very nice and helpful, and he cares deeply about his students. He also really cares about his lectures, which is great to me. He is very accommodating and understanding. Please consider taking him!!!

If you're interested in Latino/a/x immigration, this class is a must-take. Group projects are highly encouraged and recommended by professors, which makes the workload more manageable. As long as you engage with the course materials and lectures, you have a great chance to secure excellent grades. Attendance is tracked through engagement code, but participation in virtual lectures and in-person lectures is highly recommended. His class structures are well-organized and clear; he is an easy grader and helps you succeed in his classes. Go to office hour if you need help. I recommend taking every classes he instructs, whenever possible.

Great Professor. I have taken three courses with Professor Andalon, and he has been straightforward and helpful each time. This class, M129, was clearly structured and very organized. Attendance was required, although not expected to attend literally every lecture. I enjoyed looking at the various statistics about labor and employment in the US during this class. Do the work, and you will do well. Thanks again!

Professor Andalon is a wonderful professor. He makes sure all of his students succeed and work hard in his class. His class is very organized and clear, and he explains everything on the first day so everyone knows exactly what to do. He hosts office hours, and I definitely recommend going, he is very helpful and takes the time to answer all questions thoroughly. He genuinely cares about his students’ understanding of the material and creates a supportive learning environment. I would highly recommend taking his class to anyone who wants to learn and succeed.

This class is an easy A there is pretty much no way you cannot get an A in this class. It is not possible to get an A+ in this class because the department has deemed it too easy a class to justify an A+ (according to the professor himself). It's 2 easy assignments, 1 easy midterm and 1 easy final. Attendance is encouraged but vaguely optional.

The professor is awful. Awful. The BruinLearn is disorganized, he just spends lectures rambling about things and showing YouTube video after YouTube video.

The worst thing is if you have to email him for an extension. His emails are unhelpful and rude, he does not reply to the actual question you asked.

He asked for my personal mobile number after I asked to submit an essay early because he wanted it submitted on a saturday but I would have no Wifi on that saturday (it was a group project all of us had to submit individually and my groupmates were not able to finish it until Saturday morning). I said I wasnt comfortable with that. Another student told me he did the same and yelled at her on the phone after she asked for an extension. I had to cancel my weekend trip as a result so I could submit the project on Saturday.

This is what he sent me after I asked to submit it a day early:
"I've been available quite a bit in class to clarify and provides extensive
I'm not understanding the request if you are in a group cannot give special additional time to some and not others students
We've provided a lot of support and flexibility
Please do as you plan and need to given your contexts and requests
We'll figure out
Thank you
Best wishes"

He then sent me 3 other emails in the space of 5 minutes, none of which answered my question or made much sense.
