This is my favorite class I've ever taken at UCLA, and I cannot recommend it enough to anyone who's interested in transportation! Robert is such a joyous and energetic lecturer who is passionate about the field, and has lots of great professional insights to share from his experience working on LA Metro ExpressLanes. The workload is super managable, and he really just wants to help students succeed. The coursework focuses on ExpressLanes and teaches Excel skills to quantify traffic conditions, project costs, and projected revenues, but you'll also learn about transportation technologies, policies, equity and systems engineering.
