this class is sooooooooo easy!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You don't have to do anything but show up for the midterm and final and you don't even buy the red book he tested on stuff you already know just by living:)

The thing about this class is that it was supposed to be really easy and everything. I found it to actually be pretty hard to get an A because of the way the class is run. There is a reader which has some pictures and occasionally some description of information. The lectures covered the reader but explained what was going on. Sometimes he would say something in passing that would seem to be unessential, but was tested later. FOr that reason, I highly recommend you be very rigorous in your note taking and study every detail. The truth is that the material in the class is not really extensive or difficult, so he tests on the stupid little details that really dont matter because he has to throw together a mult choice test with very little data to make it with. In addition there is now mandatory community service for an AIDs organization. Granted that was actually a really good experience (Project Chicken Soup was a lot of fun), but it was a lot more work than i thought this little GE would be. I got an A, and it was hard preping for that final. I have a good GPA and i am a Computer Scientist, so for this to be a challenge for me means either this material is really hard for me for some reason, or its hard for other people and they just make it out to be easy. Maybe its hard to just get an A.

Be careful, this guy is prematurely senile. In reality, he's probably only 55 or so, but he shuffles and mumbles and rambles like he's 90. I completely would not trust his grading. My roommate and I took AIDS the same quarter, and got almost the same score on the midterm, did the same community service together, and both did pretty well on the final, yet got drastically different grades. The fact that the tests are scantron actually makes it harder because you have to remember which insignificant details he chose to point out about a certain topic, and whether he was talking for 30 minutes about something because it is true, or because it's a misconception.
