I LOVED this class. The grades consisted of 3 things: 1) A group project that was just a debate in class one week (20%) 2) A final paper on one of the topics that the group presented -- and you can use their exact same arguments you just have to type them out!! (40%) 3) In class final that just picked 3 of the debates from in class and you have to pick a side and write an essay on each! (40%) Prof. Gurantz was extraordinarily helpful with questions after class and it was honestly one of the easiest but most thought provoking classes I've taken. Love him, love the class.

Professor Gurantz is a great professor. He is very straight-forward in his lecture style. No BS. I've taken two classes with him and learned much more than professors who try to complicate their class with absurd theories and terminology they came up with in their research that no one actually uses. Highly recommend Ron!

Professor Gurantz is great. I took 139 and 120 with him. He's very straightforward in his teaching style and what he expects from you in his class. His simplistic yet intelligent teaching style allowed me to learn more in his class than most poli-sci classes I have taken at UCLA where the Professor force you to use their absurd I.R. theories and terminology from their personal research. I highly reccomend Ron!
