I honestly don’t remember much about this class since I was going through a tough time, but I managed to pass. I don’t have strong feelings about the professor; I wouldn’t recommend him, yet I have no issues with his teaching style. He is fair.

This class started off so great, I really thought I had a chance at getting an A. But then I made the terrible mistake of pairing econ 41 and econ 101, having back-to-back exams. Totally my fault, but overall the class was fun until the final exam. The final exam was difficult, way more difficult than both midterms combined. As much as I wanted to study for this class, I had to prioritize 41, therefore my grade reflects my efforts. Game theory is incredibly interesting, especially with professor Silveria as he has character. Would recommend taking this class with him!

For being a hard class, Bernardo was very accomodating. The only thing I wish there was more of was practice exams, but because he is a fairly new teacher we didn't have too many resources sadly.

Professor Silveira is great! He teaches well, is patient, and gives great quantitative and qualitative examples. The TA's for the class were also very helpful! I think the tests were fair considering my experience with Econ exams during the pandemic. I would recommend that you do all the practice exams that you are given as well as any practice or homework that TA's provide. The curve wasn't that much since a lot of people's raw scores and final scores were the same. However, def would recommend this professor for Econ 101. Especially because this course along with Econ 11 is a good foundation for the math that is needed in other econ electives. Good luck!
