I absolutely LOVED this class. It was undoubtedly my favorite of this quarter. Professor Mathur taught concepts about museums I never would've considered in the past, and it really opened my eyes to a whole new field of study. The workload (as in written assignments) was generally light, although sometimes the readings were a little long. Professor Mathur is very knowledgable about this topic and is a great lecturer, whom I would highly recommend taking a class with at some point in your life. Also my TA, Alba, was lovely. I genuinely enjoyed attending her sections because I felt like we were having meaningful discussions, and she was also a fast grader which was an added bonus. Overall, I highly recommend this course!
I took this class during COVID and it was asynchronous. The workload was light, a few one page papers, lecture videos and 2 essays. If you try it isn't hard to get an A, it's completely based off of just a few assignments. Although her lectures were just short videos of her explaining things, she was very clear and articulate. Definitely recommend as an easy GE.
