Shashank is probably my favorite TA I’ve ever had. I didn’t have a lot of experience in hardware or coding but he explained it so clearly that I had no trouble following the projects. Not to mention he was super responsive to emails and very understanding about the (multiple) times I had issues with covid or gradescope. Super nice guy
Shashank was an awesome TA. I came into the class with literally no coding experience but he was always super patient and helpful when I had problems with stuff in my code. He is very nice and it seemed to me that he wanted all the students to do well. This class was definitely a lot of work, but in part that was due to a bit of laziness and disorganization on behalf of my lab group. It really depends on your groups willingness to contribute and get stuff done because all the reports are only manageable if everyone works together.
I literally did not interact with my professor at all. The entire class was taught by my TA (Ananyo) who was really nice and accommodating for some technical issues my lab group dealt with throughout the quarter. This class is very much based on the TA you get so good luck picking a good one. The lectures aren't that engaging or necessary, if you know Python and how to use Arduino you can figure out how to do the labs very easily.
Overall, this was my easy class this quarter. Your grade is mainly based on the 2 lab reports and the final project + final lab report. The lab reports are completed as a group project so I never stressed about having to study or finish an assignment on time. Make friends with your lab group because it will make the quarter much more fun and enjoyable. One girl in my group was a Physics major so that was really helpful and I had had previous experience with Arduino so it was an easy A.
