I have two complaints that really pissed me off:
1) There is a final project that she gave the most vague guidelines on. My group emailed her, she says she doesn't answer emails about the project and to talk to her in person. Then we do and she says "you shouldn't be asking me about the final project, you guys should decide and take it where you want".
2) She scheduled two different classes' office hours at the same time. Dick move. Unhelpful.
Her lectures are okay, and she posts helpful lecture notes. Important since textbook is not helpful. However, there were 2-3 lectures where she kept messing up examples. These lectures were so bad they actively hurt students' understanding. But most lectures were okay.
Exams are fair. No practice exams but doing hw should prepare you.
Finally, class is a snoozer first half. Last topic of the class ramps up in difficulty, so be prepared. She really cares about students, trying her best to get them involved in lectures by asking questions. If she sees that you are trying hard in the class (OH, answer questions), she will actively help you and look out for you. Ironically, if you struggled with the early material and go to office hours, you have the best chance of getting an A.
Not the best lecturer. It seemed like she cared about her students by trying to memorize everybody's name and offered OH to help but it was clear the material was confusing and she didn't quite know how to teach it. Also was not very understanding when it came to personal circumstances and didn't try to accommodate students. The amount of people waiting to talk to her about their grades and hoping for some leniency says a lot... I also think she failed at least a fifth of the class. Take at your own risk!
