Sept. 8, 2011

Took this course over the summer and learned some something about the history of our educational system. Prof Cohen is a soft spoken person, so it may be hard to hear what he's saying. He also has trouble hearing so you'll have to speak up. Other than that he seems like a nice guy. The class basically revolves around "documentary" films screened on an incredibly small tv, readings from an overly pricey course reader, and written reflection papers. There were 5 papers total, plus a final exam which I thought was kind of lengthy. I don't think I'll ever forget questionable basket circulating around the room. Ha!
