I TOOK LS2

Professor Schein is very enthusiastic. I've never met a professor who cares about his students so much. He would ask for your name if you sit front, and interact with you throughout the lecture. I thought it was helpful because this kept me awake. Even though he rushes through lectures sometimes, it' not too hard to catch up if you read texts afterwards. I like how his tests are multiple choices (50 problems) and not accumulative! So for the final, you're basically having a third midterm. So, read texts, go over slides, and do online quizzes before you take his tests. The tests are HARD, i think. But come on, it's a science class at UCLA. Of course, it's not going to be an easy A class.

He uses iclicker..so take his class if you're willing to show up to the lectures.

If you are really interested in LS, you should take LS89 seminar. You go to LS-related, especially neuroscience seminars on campus then write a paragraph after each seminar that you attend. You need 10 of those. It's a bit time consuming, but I personally thought it was worth it to listen to many speakers from all over the place talking about different topics.
