why, as an econ major, i chose to take this class i don't know, what i do know is that this class was the bane of my existence. As a lecturer, he is not horrible, but his lectures were. The material is undeniably boring, consisting mainly of agricultural, social and industrial revolution. The material is rather dry, and he makes no effort to inspire interest. The readings are excessive, and you're tested solely on whether you have completed and are able to memorize all of them. His sense of humor does not actually result in humor, but annoyance as he desperately and persistantly tries to make lame jokes. His idea of funny is interupting the lecture to point out a girl in the class who had a bandage on her chin, asking "What's on your face?" The material covered is boring, he is a harsh grader and does little when students seek him for help. Avoid him.
