Professor Jung is the best! She definitely could have made this course a lot harder, but she chose not to. For the midterm and final, she provides an in-depth study guide which basically goes over every single question topic. Also, she provides all the formulas so the math is very straightforward. There is group work graded on participation every class; thus, you will need to attend lectures. There are four homework assignments which are simple and graded on completion. Super sweet, accommodating lady and awesome professor. The only con, albeit small, is that sometimes her accent is bit difficult to understand. Please don't stress if you're taking this with her!

Professor Su Jung has been one of the best professors I have had. She tried to make the class as engaging as possible considering it was an 8 am course. She always ensured everyone was awake and even brought coffee to class for students who needed it. The lecture itself felt a bit long at times (an average 50 to 60 slides uploaded days before the lecture) since it was a lot of content to cover, but much of the material she went over was straight from the textbook, so I did not find it necessary to read the textbook. However!!! I do recommend doing the practice questions at the end of each chapter in the textbook because she has *very, very* similar questions in both the midterm and final. There is only one midterm, four homework assignments, and a final. There are group discussion worksheets that must be completed at the end of each lecture and turned in as a form of attendance credit (graded on completion, not accuracy). It felt like a statistic class at times, since there is a lot of math involved, but Professor Jung provided you with the equations during the exams. Both the midterm and final had extra credit questions and were a combination of multiple-choice and calculation/free-response questions. Overall, great professor (cracked jokes once in a while) and a very interesting class.

This class was kinda ironic because she had it in person during the middle of the pandemic and lectured us about how diseases spread. The class was at 8 am and she lectured for the first hour; she has a voice that can put you to sleep so be careful. She then hands out a group worksheet that you do in class and that is how she takes attendance to give you participation points. You can also leave early if you finish the group-work before class is over. She also does a few homework assignments. Her study guides are very helpful because she basically gives you all the topics for the midterm and final. Plus, all formulas you will need for each question will be given to you.

This class was not too bad. This was my first in-person exam at UCLA post-covid which made it a bit nerve-wracking but with enough studying it was not too bad. The material was not too overwhelming and questions were based on weekly homework and the group assignments given in class so reviewing those was super helpful. There were some equations, but they were always given to you on the midterm and final so math-wise this class was very doable. We also received study guides covering all the material needed to do well on exams. Overall a pretty decent class no major complaints.
