I took him for Korean M60 and Korean 177. I got a B+ in both class (which I deserved). I never did all the readings. He's a generous grader. His lectures are boring its hard to listen to his accent. He gives you 4 short papers to turn in, in which you can choose the readings you want to cover. So you really don't have to do all the reading. The final is either a research paper 6-8 pages or in class essay writing which you are given 6 essay prompts and you have to write 3. He gives you 12 possible essay prompts for the finals.

His classes aren't hard as long as you do some of the readings and have a general understanding of Korean history. His lectures are boring but the information does help you when you write the 4 short papers and final. If you're lazy its still do-able to pass. He really wants to help.
